Italians can point with special pride to the accomplishments of Italian
descendants in virtually every sport. To name every sports figure of
Italian descent would be an arduous task, but we can try to list the most
noteworthy ones. Feel free to contribute to the lists we've compiled.


With the possible exception of boxing, more Italians have excelled in
baseball than any other. Trying to make an All-Star team is fun and open to
